The youth leader of the peoples democracy party in Njaba l.G.A of Imo state, Hon. Charles Abia has expressed sadness over the Disel tanker explosion at okwudor-umuaka road in Njaba local Government area of Imo State, which led to the loss of over 18 lives on friday this week.
In his words: "It's sad. I'm particularly very concerned because in my place. These were people who travelled, hoping to get to their destinations. But never did. May God give their families the needed fortitude to bear this loss. It's indeed sad and unfortunate."

He also called on the Imo State government to amend the Njaba Bridge. He says:
"I see no reason why a government should work on a road for 6 years, yet nothing to show. It's sad, we must not continue to play with the lives of our people. What happened today could happen to anybody".
