A young man recognized as akeem alhassan, who allegedly stole his lady friend’s ipad worth n45,000 and bought it, has been arraigned at a badagry chief magistrates’ court docket in lagos country.
The 20-yr-antique accused whose cope with is unknown, is dealing with a rate of stealing, to which he pleaded no longer responsible.
Police prosecutor akpan ikem said the accused dedicated the offence on september 18 at j5, seme border between nigeria and benin republic.
He stated the accused’s lady friend, beatrice agbor, gave him her ipad to hold whilst she became visiting.
“The accused sold the tablet and used the money to buy cartons of biscuits.”
Ikem said the offence contravened Section 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused pleaded not guilty.
The Magistrate, Jimoh Adefioye, granted bail to the accused at N100,000 with a surety and adjourned the case till October 25 for mention.
