A younger man who claims to be a prison warder has blamed the devil for ‘wrongly’ directing him into a rev. Father’s kitchen to scouse borrow meat ‘and get caught’.
The younger guy turned into on sunday, apprehended at the kitchen of the rev. Fr. Francis effiong, the parish priest of st. Paul’s catholic church, placed at the university of calabar (unical).
It was accrued that the suspect became arrested while stealing meat from the fridge of the priest, who had left his house by means of 9 a.M for a mass.
At the same time as talking with a correspondent, a source disclosed that the suspect become stuck even as stealing meat from the fridge.
“The young man, who claims to be a prison warden, was apprehended just as he was leaving the kitchen with bags of meat in both hands”, the source said.
“Before today’s incident, many other items such as washing machines, television sets, cookers, and so on have been missing from the house. He lives in the boys’ quarters just directly behind the priest’s kitchen”, he added.
Confirming the incident, the vice chancellor of the college, prof zana akpagu counseled humans residing within the college personnel quarters to assist the efforts of the management to offer adequate safety by means of complying with control selection of not accommodating strangers.
“It is easier for people to blame the administration for not providing adequate security, without doing their own bit.
“Last time we caught the solar light batteries’ thief, it turned out that he was a nephew living with a Prof.
“Let’s all do the things that help us be safe in the University. It’s terrible to steal from a servant of the most high”,he stated.
