Police have arrested a 25-year-
old man for allegedly killing his
father for refusing to marry a
wife for him.

Abdul Jinjiri made this known yesterday while speaking with
journalists on phone. He said the suspect
Abdulhamid Abdullahi went
after his father, Abdullahi
Shuaibu in Kirikasamma, the
headquarters of Kirikasamma
local government area for not marrying a wife for him after
he had married wives for his
elder brothers. The police spokesperson said
the suspect went for his father
around 3am on Sunday while
armed with axe and firewood. He said the suspect confessed
to the crime, but explained
that it was his elder brother
that he intended to kill and not
his father. "He used the axe and a
firewood to kill his father
around 3 am on Sunday. He
attacked his father while the
father was sleeping in his
room," the police spokesman said
